Overview

A complete renovation of a compact postwar apartment on the Lower East Side, redesigned to improve layout, storage, and cohesion. With no existing kitchen beyond a sink and freestanding appliances, the space was reimagined from scratch, introducing custom cabinetry, practical detailing, and natural materials. The goal was to create a well-composed home that felt grounded, durable, and reflective of its downtown context. 

Design Highlights

  • New kitchen designed from the ground up, with made-to-measure cabinetry and finishes suited to the apartment’s scale.
  • Bathrooms re-tiled in timeless, durable materials; walls skim-coated for a smooth, cohesive finish.
